In Spring 2019, Vintage King launched our first-ever mix contest and, quite frankly, y'all blew us away! We were inundated with more mixes than we ever imagined and amazed by the incredible quality of your entries. While only five engineers walked away with a prize, you were all winners in our eyes.
We're extremely excited to announce another opportunity to show off your skills with our Summer Remix Contest. Once again, we've assembled some of our favorite producers, engineers, and musicians to contribute tracks for you to work with and act as guest judges. This year, you can select from music created by Carl Craig, Lisa Bella Donna, and Chris “Classick” Inumerable.
In order to give you a better focus on what will help you win, the Summer Remix Contest will be limited to remixes this year. We want you to get creative as possible; add instruments, change the song structure, make it feel like something new while still paying respect to the work of our guest judges. In order for your remix to qualify, you must use at least two elements of the original work provided.
So... You put in the work to create a winning remix. You want to be rewarded with something, right? We've upped our prize game for the Summer Remix Contest, and will be rewarding first, second, and third place winners in each category this go-round. Each first place winner in all three categories will receive a pair of Focal Shape 65 monitors. Second place winners will receive a $500 Vintage King gift card and third place winners will receive a $250 gift card.
