Barefoot Sound is kicking off NAMM week with a major announcement, as the monitor makers have developed a new line of speakers entitled Footprint. The first release in the line is the Footprint01, an active 3-way speaker that shares many of the elements of the classic monitors designed by Thomas Barefoot.
Created for the purpose of offering engineers, producers and musicians on a budget the ability to afford Barefoot designed monitors, this speaker utilizes Dual-Force technology opposing sub woofers, dual ring radiator tweeter and Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation technology. The Footprint01 also features dual opposing 8-inch paper cone subwoofers, a 4-inch aluminum cone midrange driver and a 1-inch dual ring radiating tweeter.
The approach Barefoot has taken when designing reference monitors is one that focuses on incredible sound quality, wide dynamic range and bass extension through the entire creation of a piece of audio. The new Footprint01 will bring these key design elements to smaller studios and enable users to hear their work in a completely different way.
