EQP-500A
This new 500 Series module from PulTec scales down the exact specifications of the classic 2U EQP-1A3-SS. What kind of sounds can you expect? EQP-500S
When it comes to rare Pultec models, the EQP-1S3 is one of the hardest to find. After reissuing the 2U version last year, the brand is condensing down this essential equalizer down to a 500 Series size called the EQP-500S. Engineers will find a modified low-frequency shelf and high-frequency shelf boost, along with punch that will be slightly forward in your recordings.

Specifications:

30, 40, 70, 100 CPS shelf boost, 0 - 13.5 dB

30, 40, 70, 100 CPS shelf attenuate, 0 - 17.5 dB

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 KCS peak boost, 0 - 18 dB;

5, 10 KCS shelf boost, 0 - 14 dB

5, 10, 20 KCS shelf attenuate, 0 - 16 dB

Both Pultec 500 Series modules will be shipping in late December and cost $1,295.00 per piece. Pre-order your EQP-500A and EQP-500S by clicking their respective links.

In addition to the 500 Series models, Pultec is also releasing reissues of two more storied EQs, the EQH-2 and EQP-1S. Thanks to the demands of Pultec fans from around the world, Dr. Steven Jackson has brought back these units to the exact specifications of their original counterparts.

EQH-2
Introduced in 1956, the EQH-2 was created as a compact option to the EQP-1, which took up three rack spaces. The boost/attenuate curves match that of the EQP-1A, yet the shapes of the peak boost curves differ because of a different choice in Ls and Cs. The EQH-2 has fixed bandwidth for the high-frequency peak boost and a fixed high-frequency attenuation frequency of 10 kHz.

Specifications

20, 30, 60, 100 CPS shelf boost, 0 - 13.5 dB

20, 30, 60, 100 CPS shelf attenuate, 0 - 17.5 dB

3, 5, 8, 10, 12 KCS peak boost, 0 - 18 dB;

10 KCS shelf attenuate, 0 - 16 dB

EQP-1S
The EQP-1S have the same wide-bandwidth line amp as the EQP-1A/EQP-1A3 units, but have modified low-frequency boost/attenuate response curves, adding two additional peak boost frequencies, and more importantly add two high-frequency shelf boost curves to the sonic palette.

Specifications

30, 40, 70, 100 CPS shelf boost, 0 - 13.5 dB

30, 40, 70, 100 CPS shelf attenuate, 0 - 17.5 dB

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 KCS peak boost, 0 - 18 dB;

5, 10 KCS shelf boost, 0 - 14 dB

5, 10, 20 KCS shelf attenuate, 0 - 16 dB

Both new Pultec reissues will be shipping in January 2016. The EQH-2 ($3,295.00) and EQP-1 ($4,195.00) are available for pre-order by clicking their respective links here.
