For the second year in a row, we're extremely excited to be taking part in the
Pensado Awards. Presented by
Pensado's Place's Dave Pensado and Herb Trawick, the weekly online show hosts have once again taken up the task of honoring music makers at all levels (from amateur to professional), in a completely new way.
Taking place on Sunday, August 30th at Sony Pictures Studios, the award ceremony will be packed with the best and brightest that the studio, live sound, songwriting and gear worlds have to offer. Awarding audio creators from all over the sound spectrum, Pensado, Trawick and a pro committee will vote for winners in 15 categories including OMG! Mix of the Year, Break Thru Songwriter, Outstanding Brand and Best Assistant, Intern or Runner.
"We’ve proudly watched the phenomenal success of the show and are really excited about playing a role in this new approach to honor the people who are making today’s great music.” says Vintage King's co-owner Mike Nehra, who also serves as an adviser on the show's committee.
Centered on creating an award show for those who often go unnoticed in the music making process, the Pensado's Place crew has dedicated an entire ceremony to these passionate workers. Often these individuals serve multiple roles in the creation of music, working in several arenas, something which hasn't gone unnoticed by Trawick and Pensado.
“The hybrid music maker of today is a composer, a songwriter, an engineer and a producer,” says Herb Trawick. “An entire generation of people now do it all. Our goal with the Pensado Awards is to recognize these hugely creative individuals."
