Vintage King Teams With NAMM For Meet The Maker Microphone Event

2015 Summer NAMM is nearly here and we've planed some special events during the exhibition in Nashville. For our first event, we've teamed up with the NAMM H.O.T Zone to create a Meet The Maker panel of incredible proportions.

Taking place on July 9th at 3PM, we will be transforming the TEC Tracks Booth 354 in the Nashville Music City Center into a hotbed of microphone discussion. Led by Rolff Zwiep of locally owned Blackbird Audio Rentals, the conversation will cover technology, approach and philosophy with Wes Dooley of AEA Ribbon Mics, Deni Mesanovic of Mesanovic Mics, Alan Venitosh of Telefunken Elektroakustik and Jonathan Pines of Rupert Neve Designs and sE Electronics.

Wes Dooley is an entrepreneur whose passion has always been for audio and recording. Since he began working for radio stations and recording studios, Wes has been designing his own equipment. This gear includes microphones, MS stereo processors, stereo phase displays and microphone stands, which has since formed into his AEA Ribbon Mics line.

Becoming involved with music at an early age, Deni Mesanovic has been working in the music industry as both a musician and a recording engineer. While earning his Sound Engineering degree from the University of Michigan, the young tinker began honing his skills in product design and creating his own ribbon microphones. Mesanovic now makes his two signature microphones, the M2 and M2S, out of Detroit, Michigan.

As a product specialist for Telefunken Elektroakustik, Alan Venitosh is a part of the legendary tradition of excellence and innovation set forth by the original German company. Following a precedence of 100 years of creativity, Telefunken has continued to stake their reputation as one of the world's mic leaders by building new mics and recreating classics.

Working together with sE Electronics and Rupert Neve Designs on their crossover series of microphones, Jonathan Pines has been introducing the world to new mics including the RNR1 and RN17. In addition to his efforts as RND's Director of Strategic Operations, Jonathan has spent more than his fair share of time in the studio with artists like Gin Blossoms, Of Montreal, Wilco and more.
