Pensado's Place and Vintage King, the dream once again becomes a reality at the
2014 Gear Expo. Taking place in Nashville on Saturday, September 27, this second annual block party from Pensado and VK will be an exciting event for all audio fans; engineers, producers, studio owners and those just recording for fun at home.
The celebration kicks off in the Vintage King parking lot with a rocking block party, the likes of which have never been seen in Nashville. There will be music, giveaways, celebrity guests, food trucks, and even Pensado's Place hosts Dave Pensado and Herb Trawick will be on hand, hanging out and mingling with party-goers. Joining Dave and Herb at the party will be none other than special guests like Jacquire King (Kings of Leon/Tom Waits), John McBride (Martina McBride, Blackbird Studios), Leslie Braithwaite (Pharrell, Jay Z), Rob Burrell (Michael W. Smith, Alex Campos), Vance Powell (Jack White, Beck) and Steven Slate.
In addition to the party, there is all of the gear! With products from some of the best brands in the recording world, including
Audio-Technica,
Slate Pro Audio,
AVID and more, there will be some exciting things for the VK faithful to get their hands on. Representatives from each company will be at the event, giving you a chance to check out their newest products, while also getting to talk to the teams that designed and built them.
Inside Vintage King Nashville, the gear keeps coming, as our store will be running demos all day long throughout Gear Expo 2014. Set up to simulate an in-studio experience, visitors are easily able to try new pieces of gear and get a sense of what they will sound like in their own at home studio.
The fun doesn't just stop at Vintage King Nashville. The VK block party bus will be taking visitors back and forth to
Blackbird Studio all day long. As one of Vintage King's biggest supporters, Blackbird has seen some amazing sessions, including work from Neil Young, the White Stripes, Bruce Springsteen and more. Giving guests another opportunity to check out new and vintage gear hard at work, party-goers will be able to see John and Martina McBride's studio in all of its glory.
