The Barefoot Sound MicroStack45 combines a stereo pair of MicroMain45 3-way active reference monitors with two MicroSub45 subwoofers to create an all-in-one precision monitoring solution. Each stereo system is equipped with a pair of 1-inch tweeters, four 2.5-inch midrange drivers and six high-excursion 8-inch woofers for hyper-accurate full-frequency monitoring.
The MicroMain45 is inspired by Barefoot’s innovative MiniMain12 reference speaker, and features the same dual midrange drivers, tweeter, and amplifiers in a more affordable package. The only thing missing from the original design are the dual bass drivers, which is why the MicroStack45 system includes two new MicroSub45s.
The MicroSub45 is designed to compliment the MicroMain45 by delivering tight, powerful low-end all the way down to 25 Hz. Equipped with Barefoot’s revolutionary Dual-Force technology, the MicroSub45 features two 8-inch bass drivers on opposite sides of the cabinet. This groundbreaking design eliminates vibration within the MicroSub45 speaker cabinet to deliver a clean, accurate bass response.
Barefoot Sound’s MicroStack45 system works best when the MicroMain45 monitors are stacked on top of or underneath the MicroSub45 subwoofers. Each monitor features a lockable tilting stand, allowing you to fine-tune the sweet spot in your studio.
The MicroStack45 system is equipped with Multi Emphasis Monitor Emulation (MEME) technology, which allows you to emulate the sound of other speakers. With the touch of a button, you can toggle between four different preset frequency response curves. Select “Flat” for a balanced, linear sound. The “Hi-Fi” setting brightens the high end and warms mid-range similar to a consumer stereo system. The “Old School” setting emulates the sound of the classic NS10M. While the “Cube” settings recreates the sound of mono cube monitors.
Stellar sounding studio monitors. They are very clear. They have good headroom; they have quite a bit of volume. Great range. Wonderful customer support. I put it at 4 instead of 5, because the amplifier for one of the tweeters was defective, but was replaced by Barefoot. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
