The Footprint03 is the third iteration in the best-selling Footprint Series of active studio monitors. A bold leap forward for the series, the Footprint03 both builds upon its predecessors' innovative designs and introduces even more groundbreaking features, most notably the new fast-transient ported speaker design and revolutionary Spectrally Optimized Conversion (SPOC) technology. But even with these new specs, the Footprint03 feels like a natural evolution for the entire series, offering a unique and unrivaled listening experience at an affordable price.
The original Footprint speaker utilized Barefoot Sound signatures like Dual-Force Technology and the Dual Ring Radiator Tweeter. But for the Footprint03, the team decided it was time to push the speaker's design, performance, and quality further than ever. The result is a departure from Barefoot Sound's sealed cabinet design in favor of a ported speaker for extended low-end response and minimal self-noise. Additionally, all three aluminum speaker cones sport a more powerful magnet and motor system for greater output, less compression, and a spacious soundstage.
