The BAE PDIS is a stereo version of the best-selling BAE PDI passive direct box. Each unit is hand-wired and equipped with a class-leading OEP/Carnhill transformer for rich, warm analog tone in the studio and on the road. With two hi-Z 1/4” inputs, two low-Z XLR outputs, and four 1/4” thru outputs, the BAE PDIS is ideal for tracking analog synths or recording multiple guitars simultaneously. A solid steel chassis, rugged Neutrik connectors and versatile features like built-in ground lift switches, the BAE PDIS is the ultimate stereo DI box.
Hand-made in the USA, the BAE PDIS features a high-quality OEP/Carnhill audio transformer to give instruments added depth and harmonic richness. With gold-plated circuits and through-hole component technology, the BAE PDIS provides rock-solid reliability with minimal interference and extremely low distortion and self-noise.
Just like the original BAE PDI, the PDIS features a frequency response of 10 Hz to 40 kHz, making it an excellent solution for capturing bass and guitar recordings with powerful lows and brilliant highs. But with two high-impedance unbalanced inputs, the BAE PDIS is perfect for recording analog synthesizers. Unlike cold and sterile digital inputs, the BAE PDIS captures the true analog essence of classic vintage synths.
On its front, the BAE PDIS features two high-impedance Neutrik 1/4” inputs for connecting instruments. Two lo-Z Neutrik XLR outputs can be used to route signals to preamps or external signal processors. Two dedicated ground lift buttons help prevent buzz when working in venues or studios unreliable power. On the rear, the BAE DPIS features four thru outputs for connecting multiple speaker cabinets or additional signal processing devices.
With a rugged steel chassis and durable construction make it the BAE DPIS can easily withstand the wear and tear of touring and daily studio use. And with recessed switches and connectors, the BAE DPIS is the perfect traveling companion for capturing studio-quality sound on the road.
Noticeable improvement in tone for my keyboard, with fuller lows and mids. Very satisfied.
