The ATR Magnetics MDS-36 Analog Recording Tape is the long-playing version of the much-acclaimed and highly recommended ATR Master Tape that engineers and musicians have come to love the world over. Coated on the highest quality 1.0 mil polyester film, MDS-36 provides excellent performance and reel-to-reel consistency. The new formulation offers high output and low noise with improved recording economy, and is bias compatible with ATR Master Tape requiring minimal adjustment for optimal performance.

I used this tape on the Otari MX 5050 And it works great! The playback of recorded audio sounds rich and full!

Nice to be able to buy new tape. Good quality. Takes the eq settings and you can drive it as hard as the old maxell tape. A bit expensive but a very good product.

I'm giving 5 stars because of quality, I have a Tascam studio machine and the the studio quality and the MDS-36 tape works very well as I have purchased a number of these in both grades, this is the first time it had a very pungent chemical smell that fill the room for about 2 weeks before fading out and now the smell is gone. Thank you for a fine quality product in the future it may in your best interest to air it out a little longer.
