ATC SCM0.1/15ASL Pro subs are equipped with an unparalleled 15-inch Super Linear bass drivers for thunderous, earth-shattering low-end. Super Linear drivers utilize a proprietary underhung voice coil design for minimal distortion, even at high volume levels. Unlike traditional forward-firing subwoofers with uneven sound distribution, the SCM0.1/15ASL features a modern downward-firing design for accurate, balanced low-end in any studio or post-production facility,
ATC’s founder Billy Woodman had a strict “no bass management” philosophy and believed that professional studio monitors should sound good right out of the box. That’s why the SCM0.1/15ASL features intuitive, easy-to-use controls. Quickly dial in the perfect sound using an amp gain control, a low-pass filter with selectable frequencies of 180 Hz, 120 Hz, 90 Hz, 70 Hz, 50 Hz, and 2 kHz. The SCM0.1/15ASL also features a dedicated contour control, which introduces a small boost at 100 Hz.
While the SCM0.1/15ASL is designed to work with any studio monitors, it is optimally engineered to compliment ATC studio monitors. ATC recommends leaving your studio monitors flat when paired with the SCM0.1/15ASL, as bass management filtering artificially colors the main speaker sound and can even introduce phase problems.
