The 1604 is a vintage desk manufactured by API in limited numbers in the 1970s. It has maintained a great reputation, as well as great resale value, ever since. In 2008, recognizing the need for a similar console in today's market, API introduced the 1608, a modern update to the classic 1604 design from the original company. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and all those owners of a 1608 are imitating this vintage console with the unmistakeable API sound.
