Antelope Audio MP8d and Orion 32+ Bundle

The Antelope Audio Orion32+ carries on an incredible tradition established by the original Orion32 just 3 years ago, when it become the dominate high channel count interface on the market and broke the barriers of what a USB Interface and a 1U rack could offer.  Orion32+ now features Thunderbolt, with extremely low latency without defeating Power Management in the Mac OS, keeping fan noise low on a MacBook Pro under recording situations.  There is also a new TRS 1/4" Monitor Out, in addition to the 32 Outputs on D-Sub connections, making it easier than ever to connect a pair of studio monitors via a monitor volume controller, such as Antelope's own Satori Monitor Controller. There is also a new software control panel, featuring FX such as Antelope's recently introduced AuroVerb hardware quality reverb, that run on the internal DSP of the Orion32+.  Orion32+ has improved dynamic range to live up the the ever changing needs of the modern recording studio that Antelope is helping to reinvent with it's many new products in recent years.

Antelope MP8d 8-Channel Mic Pre

Known for their incredible digital output, Antelope Audio has once again created another tool, the MP8d, which will propel your recording studio to the next level. The MP8d is an eight-channel mic pre, which comes packed with impeccable A/D conversion and preamps based on the brand’s ever-popular Zen Studio and MP32. Offering precisely accurate sounds with natural warmth and smoothness to recordings, the MP8d was designed to create the purest quality sound, no matter how hard one pushes signal levels.

The MP8d mic pres are combo XLR/TRS connectors, which accept both mic and line level signals. Hi-Z inputs are associated with channels 1 and 2, and are accessible via dedicated TRS connectors on the front panel. Inserts for connecting your favorite effects outboard gear are available on the rear panel. A high-end headphone amp is accessible from the front panel to provide the convenience of integrated monitoring. The analog connectivity is accomplished with a D-Sub 25 connector directly outputting the mic signals at line level, making MP8d a perfect companion device for Antelope's Orion32 and Zen Studio audio interfaces.
    

A plethora of digital connectors offer a wide variety of options, providing extreme flexibility and enhanced productivity. MP8d provides S/PDIF, AES/EBU, TOSLINK, ADAT and MADI connections expand the product compatibility and allow for both easy connection to other outboard gear or DAW, as well as cascading two or more MP8d units, expanding the channel count.

MP8d relies on the highly sophisticated yet easy to use software control concept developed for Orion32 and Zen Studio. The intuitive user interface with color-coded drag and drop signal routing, multiple mixers and powerful DSP engine with on-board effects, makes the device extremely flexible and suited to various recording applications. Programmable presets allow for easy and fast recall of preferred configurations, while ergonomic aluminum knobs on the front panel provide precise mic gain adjustment in real-time.
