    The features on the Taylor McGrath Guitars Selma are simple… Volume and Gain. TMG didn’t include any tone controls because they didn’t want to nullify the flat EQ they worked so relentlessly to achieve. When placed in front of your amplifier you will notice absolutely zero change in the way your amp’s EQ sounds in active or true bypass mode. This allows Selma to work as an extension of your amp by effectively adding either a lead boost or a drive channel to it’s functionality.

    As guitarists themselves. Taylor McGrath Guitars have always longed for the same thing every other guitarist has been searching for… a truly transparent boost pedal. Like many of you, they've tried every boost on the market only to be disappointed by the artificial frequencies or unnatural artifacts they added to the amplifier’s natural tone and feel.

    What TMG wanted was a pedal that could be used to either cleanly push the front end of the amp or could adjust to get edge of breakup tones at low volumes by increasing the gain knob and turning the volume knob down to taste. According to TMG "We seriously underestimated how difficult it would be to achieve this with complete transparency. But, persistence prevailed!"
