Product Description

The D Allen Pickups Bazooka OD is a medium gain overdrive with very responsive dynamics and brown face fender type sag and midrange while pushing into Marshall territory. The gain structure is chewy with a great tube rectifier sag. It pushes not just the mids but the highs and lows as well so it has a wide tonal influence that gives you smooth buttery mids without loss of the highs.

Controls

  • Elevation = Volume
  • Chatter = Gain
  • Range = Tone

LOAD SWITCH

The three way switch in the middle most position will have the OD at its brightest setting, as you move right or left you will add more mids and lows but keep the highs intact. The Middle or Normal setting is like a 1x12; the Left, or Fat position it’s like switching to a 2x12 ; the Right, or what we call the Lard position is like a closed back 4x12. You can feel the low end push on the Left setting. The Right position will add even more mids and lows great for Slide, Blues.

Word on the Street

"Overall, the David Allen Bazooka proved itself a highly usable OD with an extraordinary range over the sound spectrum. It's a pedal that can add great diversity to even the simplest rig."
