Sequencer
If you've been following along in our modular synthesizer educational series, you've already learned about the power of VCOs and VCFs in prior installments. In his latest video, Klayton (Celldweller) is focusing in on what makes sequencers so special to the synthesizer world and how they can have a major impact on your sonic output. Sequencers drive an oscillator's pitch, allowing you to play notes or send melodic information and create patterns that form the make-up of your sound. For this educational video, Klayton is using an Audio Damage ADM06 Sequencer 1, a module that features four banks of 16 patterns, which makes sequencing beforehand and performing live an extremely easy practice. In addition to the Audio Damager sequencer, he's also using a Roland System-500 for the remainder of his modular rig. Discover more about how sequencers enter the equation of a modular synth by checking out our video with Klayton (Celldweller). Stay tuned, as we'll be releasing more videos in this new series in the weeks to come.
