Twas three days before Christmas, when all through the Tech Shop, all the creatures were stirring, till a sound made them stop. It was a knock at the door and who should appear, Santa Claus and his eight tiny reindeer. We decided to take the big man on a tour of the Tech Shop to show him what our team does on a daily basis and maybe give him a few pointers for his big operation up north.
Starting off in our tech area, Santa inspected the parts that we use to restore vintage and used gear, ensuring that each NOS piece was up to his elite standards. Next he oversaw our testing process before eventually getting his hands on a voltage meter and a piece of gear. You know what they say, "Once an elf, always an elf!"
Santa checks in with Vintage King's Tech Shop Manager Justin in the serviced gear area to see what's already been prepared for his midnight sleigh ride. There were a few last minute items that he needed to pick up on his list including a racked pair of Neve 1079s, a Urei LA-3A and a RCA BA6A Mono Tube Compressor/Limiter.
We had heard Santa was an aficionado of vintage consoles, so we allowed him to take a look at a few of the desks we currently have in the shop. He was amazed by our team's restoration work! Santa even took to pulling up the faders on one console and acting like he was recording his own version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town."
The last stop on Santa's trip through the Tech Shop was our Shipping Department where he got hands on and packaged up a few items to send home to Mrs. Claus.
