The Studio Prodigy Master Class Series rolls on with a new event coming up in November featuring Jim Scott. As a world-renowned record producer, Jim has been responsible for working on several classic albums throughout the past three decades. Over the course of two days, Jim will lead an advanced class on his techniques and tricks that have helped him create a definitive sound in the studio.

Taking place on November 8th and 9th at Jim's PLYRZ Studios, the legendary producer will lead a discussion on how he views the creation process of making records. Known for clean recordings that come with vintage vibes intact, Jim has racked up piles of Grammy awards, working with artists ranging from Tom Petty and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Whiskeytown and Dixie Chicks. Knowing no boundaries of genre, Jim's work speaks for itself and his production techniques can be utilized in any type of recording situation.

The first day of the Studio Prodigy Master Class Series will include a complete overview of Jim's recording process and choice of studio gear. Jim will then lead a live recording session featuring a full band and cover the basics of how to properly capture great recordings. From microphone placement to unique ways of producing sounds, Jim will offer tips and tricks for both analog and digital gear.

Continuing on into day two, the last of the overdubs will be done and the mixing process will begin. Demonstrating his workflow in the studio, Jim will show attendees his approach to mixing, which revolves around an extremely hands-on effort that works in some automated gear. After the session is complete, Studio Prodigy and Jim will be hosting the Gear and Beer Fest, which will include talking about today's hottest gear over the course of a few beers.
