The PMC AML-1 is the first compact active monitor from the PMC stable.
It is like no other active monitor available, as every element in the build of the AML1 is of the highest audiophile grade, from the custom drive units down to the OS-Con capacitors utilised in the key areas of the crossovers and power amplifiers. The AML 1 belies its size and boasts sub-35Hz performance from a modern sculpted compact cabinet.
This monitor has all the virtues of PMC tried and tested transmission line designs, including extremely low distortion with higher SPLs and deeper low frequencies than a traditional ported design of a similar size.

The AML 1 employs a flat piston bass driver constructed from a carbon fibre and Nomex honeycomb which allows large, controlled linear excursions. A high power handling soft dome unit is used for the high frequencies; the two drivers are integrated by discrete, low noise active crossovers. The amplifier and crossover designs are licensed from the high end manufacturer Bryston. They deliver effortless, clean power whilst preserving neutrality of balance and image integrity. Bypassable user controls provide for input level adjustment, LF Roll off, LF tilt and HF tilt.
