BIO
Born and bred in Detroit, Michigan, Mike Krygier is no stranger to the city’s thriving music scene and brings experience as an engineer, producer and artist to Vintage King Audio. After graduating from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Technology (where he received the University’s 2010 – 2011 Music Technology Award), Krygier went on to build and run Work Horse Recording Studios, working with artists like Roy Z. (guitarist/producer for Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson) and mixing for Sonny Chiba (producer for Tone, K-Dezzy, and Cap). Simultaneously, Mike was also the live sound engineer for Detroit’s Majestic café.

Having first picked up a guitar at age 15, Mike started playing with a number of Detroit based bands just two years later. Presently, Krygier is working with his current band, Casio Choir, for which he wrote, recorded and produced their latest album. Mike has also contributed material to albums for Julie Haven (wrote and played guitar) as well as PBS’ Metro Arts TV show, for which he was not only the audio engineer, but also wrote and produced the show’s theme song.

When Krygier isn’t playing music or working with Vintage King, he can be found freelance engineering at studios such as Tap Water Productions and, thanks to his portable rig, with bands wherever they practice or perform.

TESTIMONIALS
Hi Mike,
I just got my API 3124 yesterday (much sooner than expected by the way). I just wanted to say thank you for the fast responses and that my first purchase with Vintage King was exceptional. You guys put all of your competition to shame with your customer service, packaging and knowledge!

Thanks again! I will definitely be working with you again in the future.

Michael

Hi Mike,

Just wanted to thank you for your detailed reply. I know you guys probably receive a lot of inquiries on equipment, and taking the time and effort you did to respond indicates what kind of person you are and what type of organization Vintage King is. Lots to think about, and some gear I need to sell in order to fund the right investment strategy. I'll be in touch.

Sincerely,

Todd

Hello, my experience was excellent, the order was here fast considering it was out of stock. The sales person (Mike Krygier) had SKB send it to me directly. I couldn't have been more pleased. THANK YOU.

Hi,

My first experience at Vintage King has been satisfactory. When I first ordered my pair of (BeesNeez) Lulu mics, you told me that there were some problems of stock with these mics, but what I really have appreciated, is the support and attention of your colleague Mike Krygier. Maybe it's because I have had some bad experiences with other online shops, but, in your case, the help and support that Mike has given me, has been perfect.

Best regards,
Mikel

Just wanted to say that I was very pleased with my recent purchase, a used Gefell M295 mic. Mike Krygier was great to work with and he/you are now definitely on my "preferred vendors" list.

Hey Mike,

I've got my 2 stereo units of Distressors up and running and they sound like... yeah I don't wanna say that word. It's way better than fantastic. I`ve been using them on two albums already in mix and some vocal/guitar and bass tracking. Just an awesome tool that sound good on everything.

Same with the API rack, had it up testing with some preamp. Works perfect, just need to buy some boxes to start filing it up:)

So Im very happy with everything. delivery time was fast after we closed the deal. and everything was great packed and was plug`n play when it showed up in the studio. So I will be shopping more from you when I got some more money to spend on more gear.

Vegard

Thank you very much your service was great and all my future purchases will be from you.

Kind Regards
Junior

Q & A
What is your favorite piece of gear?
There's just too much to choose from.
What piece of gear do you think changed history?
Auto-tune, for the worse.
What is your most memorable sale?
I would have to say a big Pro tools sale I had to complete within a two week deadline; outfitted the customer for his studio startup and got all the gear to him in time before he had to leave the country.
What made you want to work with Vintage King?
I wanted to work for VK because of their broad selection of vintage and boutique recording equipment and my personal admiration for the gear. Along with their reputation for being the best dealer in the biz for professional recording gear and their deep roots in the recording community.
