Product Description

A gorgeous instrument with beautiful wood inlay, made by one of the world's top manufacturers of fine acoustic instruments. Begun over 150 years ago, the Bechstein firm rose to become the largest piano dealer in Europe at the turn of the last century, supplying instruments to Queen Victoria, the Tsars of Russia, and virtually every royal house in Europe.

The sound of the Bechstein is legendary, and the one that resided at Trident Studios in the 1960s and 70s contributed to the sound of many Beatles' recordings, (such as Hey Jude), as well as albums by the likes of Elton John, Queen, and David Bowie, among many others. Classical and jazz pianists have also favored the Bechstein line, including Leonard Bernstein, Sviatoslav Richter, and Oscar Petersen.
